Book recommendations & voting — October, November, December

How this book club works

Anyone who'd like to can submit book ideas, vote, and browse the full list — no matter which option you follow. Both options are welcome at the same table, and you can switch month to month.

Option 1
Read the group pick

We go through the voting process and the raffle, land on one book for each month, and everyone reads it together.

Option 2
Read your own pick

Choose any book that fits the month's theme and that you're excited about, then come prepared to give us a “book report” or play-by-play of what it was about. 📚

Option 2 folks: please still submit ideas and vote! Your recommendations and votes help shape the group pick even if you end up reading something else. Option 2 is simply there for anyone who has already read a lot of the list, already owns something that fits the bill, or is just more excited about a different book.

OctoberCosmic Horror & Dark Fantasy — uncanny, eerie, or terrifying speculative fiction
NovemberIndigenous Futurisms & Alternative Mythologies
DecemberCozy Fantasy — warm, low stakes, bonus for wintery vibes

🏆 This season's picks

Winners of the vote + raffle for each month. Everything else stays listed underneath as a reminder — perfect fuel for Option 2.

Recommend a book

Pick a month, tell us the title and author. Submit as many as you like — one form at a time.

Current recommendations

Everything submitted so far, grouped by month. Great browsing material whichever option you're following.

Cast your votes

Everyone is encouraged to vote, including Option 2 readers. Enter your name, check the books you'd like to see win, then submit. Submitting again with the same name replaces your earlier ballot.

Poll results

0 ballot(s) submitted.

Weighted raffle

Each book gets one ticket per vote. Popular picks have better odds; anything with at least one vote can still win.
